About

My name is Brian Davis, I was born in Guilden Sutton, Chester in 1962.

I retired from my role as a Police Constable with West Mercia Constabulary in 2008 due to poor health having served over 18 yrs.

I now fill my time with photography which is mostly done from my car or easily accessed hides. My main interest is Wildlife, however I would very much like to include other subjects such as motor sport and aviation.

I currently live in the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire an area steeped in natural beauty and full of wildlife. Two of my favourite places are Norfolk and Scotland. Last year I was able to spend time in both places and God willing I shall spend more time there this year. Both are well documented for the plethera of opportunities they present.

Whilst I am keen to get the next perfect shot I try very hard to keep the wellbeing of my wildlife subjects as the main priority. I would rather miss the shot than cause the "target" harm or endangerment. I have found that if one approaches every opportunity with this at the forefront of one's mind the hardest shots are suddenly a lot easier.
